Created from the same Sitka/mahogany combination as the 14-fret Crossroads, the 12-fretter delivers all the magic of our other 12-fret guitars at the expense of two frets’ easy access on the neck. In both versions you’ll find a warm, woody sound that blends wonderfully with the human voice.

We think of the Crossroads guitar as a smaller DS Crossroads. The tonal balance is similar, and its volume doesn’t suffer much from being caged in a smaller body. You may find that the Crossroads makes a more convenient traveling companion than its DS Crossroads big brother. The dark sunburst and unpurfled cream binding present a no-frills look, perfect for the unpretentious player who prefers to let the music attract the attention. The Crossroads is also a shade deeper in the body than the 0, 00, and 000 series, creating a guitar with perhaps a bit bassier presence. Light gauge strings can bring out the best of the lightly braced top, though the Crossroads warranty allows for mediums.
Standard woods are Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides.

Take the H&D standard DS. Convert it to a flat top with a short scale. Then take a chisel to the bracing to compensate for the shorter scale length. Strip it back to an unostentatious dress code but maintain the dark sunburst, and you have a workingman’s guitar of epic proportions. This guitar can pick a gentle child’s tune or rage across a stage.

So you say you need a small guitar with 14 frets clear of the body? We offer you the T-OO14, a short-scale flat top with the same big voice as our standard 00 models. It looks so much like a small TOM that we’ve given it the same dress, whether in rosewood or mahogany versions. The time of the small-bodied guitar has returned, bringing with it the comfort and warmth that will make it your true friend for life.

Small does not have to mean less. Our “O” series guitars utilize our radius top construction along with a 12 frets to the body configuration to produce an instrument with ample volume coupled with the warm woody tone that 12 fret short scale guitars naturally display.
This model has the same build and cosmetic features as our 000, but includes an elegant slotted headstock and pyramid bridge.

Imagine a guitar with a warm tone that still manages to clearly show you the start and stop of every note, and then you’ll get some idea of what the TOM-M sounds like. This OM features the same flat-top construction style as our TOM-R but combines mahogany with a Sitka spruce top. Rather than the immediate flash of the TOM-R, the TOM-M shines subtly with traditional mahogany guitar appointments like tortoise-style body bindings and simple dot fretboard inlays. Understatement is the name of the game here—that is, until you pick the first note.

Classic timeless styling. The Huss & Dalton TOM-R combines traditional flat-top construction with the red spruce bracing used in all Huss & Daltons. This guitar is especially suited for finger-style players or flatpickers with a lighter touch, yet holds up to vigorous strumming when the performance becomes more intense. The even response and airy, shimmery qualities the OM has always been known for are maintained and expanded on in the Huss & Dalton TOM-R. The standard TOM-R is a refined brew of Indian rosewood, Sitka spruce, herringbone purfling, ivoroid body bindings, classic slotted diamond fretboard inlay pattern, and a squared headstock with a carved diamond volute. Vintage-style nickel tuning machines by Waverly complete this timeless package. Pictured is a custom TOM-R, Serial #4635 with a Red Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides.

To multitudes of contemporary guitarists, the dreadnought is the king of the heap, and our TD-R leads the pack as a rosewood flat top that brings the best of the past to the requirements of the present. Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce are dressed in herringbone and ivoroid trim. A powerful bass register stands above a rich balance of mids and highs, creating a guitar that was born to lead the band.
